The stones are beautiful, the whites are shiny, blacks are matte as it should be. My box came with 185 white and 178 black stones, which is as stated in the description. (I would prefer 180+5 though, not the -5). Only one black stone was slightly chipped during transfer, but this is only visible from close view. Some of the white stones have rather big brown flaws on them, which is not really bothering during the game. For the perfectionalists: You may see slight differences in the thickness of "Mimi" (sideline) of the stones, which catches the eye of a professional.
Still, these stones are very good for the price.
